What's up service industry. My name's Madelyn Rose and I'm the founder of The DeServed Co. I had plans to do an inaugural first blog and go into my whole backstory and history, but as I've typed and deleted, and typed and deleted, I realized that there's no way to just summarize it. And the truth of it all is that this is exactly why I created this company. Life is complicated. Life is messy. Life gets REALLY f*ing hard sometimes. And the service industry is one of the few professions where our money and livelihoods literally depend on how well we can detach, or put on masks, or pretend we're okay when we're not.
If that sounds relatable, you're in the right place. I never pictured doing a blog but I felt like it was on my heart to not only create a clothing line, but create a raw, real space for the industry. To honor the fact that we are humans. To talk about how to navigate a difficult industry, a sometimes difficult life, and the difficulties of mindset and happiness. I hope to create a community of people who want to heal some of the toxic behaviors, create a space where we can shine a light in the dark, and use the industry to build lives better than we could ever imagine.
As we go along this journey together, you'll get to know me, unravel more about all the aspects that made me who I am and brought me to the mindset I have now, and be the first to know about my plans for The DeServed Co. Hopefully you'll see that I speak on these subjects from experience, and if I speak on something I haven't, I will ask questions and hope for feedback from all of you! This space is open-ended and I look forward to hearing the thoughts and opinions of each and every one of you.
